Classic Lidgard kauri timber Launch, built in 1936 by Lidgard Bros for Mr Delich & Yuich as a seine boat. "Zora" is 15.2m LOH, 4.45m beam, 1.8m draft. Originally powered by a 80hp HMG diesel now boasting a recently rebuilt Gardner 6L3B 150hp. She carried the fishing reg AK 71. The current owners have lovingly restored and converted her to a comfortable pleasure launch with the carvel planked hull being striped back to original then skinned with 12mm timber, steamed glued and secured with 10oz fiberglass cloth cover, making her a very strong and stiff vessel. The accommodation was designed and built in a professional manner with quality timber finish and comfort in mind. She has all the mod cons with an Isuzu generator set, large fridge and freezer, diesel heater, 3 toilets, 2 showers, full sized gas stove. The vessel has full headroom throughout including the walk-in engine room. 2 Sleeping cabins, 2 single and 1 large queen sized bed in the master cabin. She carries 5000L fuel and 1500L water with a cruising speed of 8 knots at 820RPM using approx. 10L per hour. She has a mast with room for a decent sized steadying sail. "Zora" has been down to the south island and travelled the coast in comfort. Google search her name and you will see some impressive articles on the rebuild process, etc. Unfortunately time has caught up with the owners and they have instructed us to sell their beloved vessel. Please phone for further information and viewing.
