The current owners have lovingly looked after Django for the last 35 years and this can be seen by the meticulous way she has been maintained and the equipment upgrades that have been made. On deck she has Garhauer blocks and traveller system, Manship SS hatches and a special system to lock the tiller in position when at mooring.

Django is a centreboard yawl that Alan Smith designed and built for himself to compete in the Auckland to Noumea yacht race. The mizzen created extra downwind sail area while providing additional stability when at anchor in a blow.

Going below you will find traditional teak joinery with mitred joints and dove tailed draw ends that exude quality. There are 2 quarter berths either side of the companionway, with the port being a double. Forward of this is the fold out chart table, control panel with a fridge, freezer and cool box under the seat. The Galley is opposite and has been designed to securely fit 4 plates for serving crew and guests. It and the vanity have Italian Appelco bench tops which is a material similar to Corian. The main saloon will seat 5 to 6 people around a fold out table with a pilot berth on the starboard side. Moving forward there is an electric toilet to port and chest of drawers to starboard. Up forward the is a large double berth with a special step for ease of access.

The engine is a 38hp Yanmar that is fresh water cooled and has been well maintained. This gives you a cruising speed of 6 knots.
