Launched in 1966 as the boat-builders own boat, Vaila has a sea-going design pedigree being from the desk of kiwi Athol Burns, who oversaw her construction. She had an interior refit 15 years ago, with the deck & cabin tops recently repainted. Solidly built with kauri carvel planking, she is 43ft LOD and presents well.
Ideal for use as a liveaboard or as a spacious relaxed cruiser, Vaila is being sold as she sits, including a transferable 15m Nelson Marina berth entitlement, but without main or mizzen sails, and the dinghy and outboards. The saloon mattress as shown will be removed if not required, allowing conversion back to a full table saloon, which is included.
Vaila has been realistically priced in consideration of some work to be completed following the recent repaint, along with requiring new floor coverings.
