COMMENTS
Custom designed as an ocean-going cruising yacht, capable of being sailed short-handed or even single-handed. This aluminium 62ft cutter-rigged sloop combines safety and performance; spacious and comfortable living accommodation and a high build quality from the Nordia van Dam Royal Shipyard in Holland. She has always been professionally crewed and maintained to the highest standards.
A major refit was carried out in 2009 at a reputable Phuket yard under supervision of the Nordia van Dam shipyard in Holland. The hull, superstructure and rig completely dismantled, stripped and any oxidation sports in the deck (minimal) were repaired. A new engine was fitted as were completely new exhaust pipes for the main engine and the genset. A new shaft and heavy-duty 4-blade vari-prop were fitted. The hull was laid bare and inspected for oxidation (some minor repairs were done). The teak deck was totally removed and a new deck fitted on an epoxy layer added on the aluminium, with highest quality teak of 15mm thickness and up to 5.2 long planks. The new deck design completely matches the original layout. The hull, superstructure and rigging were re-painted in the 2009 refit. All sails were upgraded to radial cut and cruising laminate. In July 2013 she was last dry-docked for 2 weeks, new antifouling was applied, new anodes fitted, prop serviced, rudder and steering serviced, etc.
