COMMENTS
Launched in 1978, this 37-foot Harry Jorgensen-designed yacht is built using double-diagonal kauri construction with fibreglass sheathing.
Powered by a 40HP Volvo engine installed in 2021, the vessel has a good selection of sails, all checked, cleaned and repaired as required by sailmakers in 2021. The mainsail cover, toilet and gimballed stove/oven were also replaced in 2021. A stainless-steel BBQ is included.
With seven berths, plus two additional berths requiring only squabs, this yacht offers excellent potential as a liveaboard or spacious family cruising vessel. Two showers are fitted, including one in the cockpit, and shore power is provided.
While this yacht would benefit from some cosmetic attention, it is well-equipped and offers generous accommodation and plenty of potential.
At $29,000, this classic boat represents very good buying.
